“Transvestite” isn’t an inherently transphobic word, it can be used for transphobia but it isn’t here since Rei is a crossdresser
“a person who dresses in clothes primarily associated with the other sex (typically used of a man).” is the definition that comes up when you search it and when you look up forums on the term it’s just an outdated way of saying drag （´-`）if I’m wrong I’m open to corrections
