I just find it ironic that her name is karen (even if i hate that terminology).
but Karen has always been the one with everything, even if they were to find out she wasn’t actually the girl in the mirror, her sister would for sure forgive her and she wouldn’t be left with out anything, Karen definitely knows this as she’s been jealous of her sister’s personality. Karen felt in a way superior, and still felt jealous about not being able to form female relationships, although im sure she’d be able to make them, she decides to instead blame her sister for taking attention and grew hatred for her. and it definitely doesn’t excuse her reaction and words for her sister… they didn’t seem like a coping mechanism. not only that but she was like this since the beginning, even before she met the queen and everything. also i cannot understand why she would tell everyone that her sister was horrible? like, okay, take her spot, be jealous of her, be scared that everything will be taken from you, but feeding such lies about your sister is just not right…who knows though, i honestly really hope they rekindle their relationship because Karens sister genuinely seems to love her. and even Karen seemed to have fun with her when she wasn’t envious or something. :(

For sure! Def agree with the whole “her sister would forgive her and Karen feels superior thing” bUt that point you made about her not being friends with girls is suuuuuper important. Not for nothing, but most relationships where boys simp over you suCk because they’re not simping over yoU, they’re simpling over a self imposed image of you. So if Karen’s only friends are boys with romantic interest in her then she’s probably forcing herself to act a certain way to retain that attention. Having to act sweet/nice/flirty/cool/mysterious/wtv gets soooooooo frustrating after a while and I bet she feels terrible that her sister has genuine friendships and she has to always be “the older sister” or “the hot girl”.
WhICh is dumb because if that reallly is her excuse ie “itchika gets everything!!! She’s just given things- I have to work hard” (not a real quote) then why pretend to be her sister!? LOL
Now she’s her sister, she’s not Karen anymore. She dug herself into this hole- ITS MADDENING for her. She’s acting like her sister. She’s now doing what the queen wants. OFCOURSE she’ll resent Ichika! SHE did this to hER. If shE didn’t find that MIRROR Karen wouldn’t have appeared in that world. If SHE didn’t talk to Cecil out loud then Karen wouldn’t have known all this information that made her a liability- that made her fodder to the climb to the Throne. It’s all her sisters fault.- these thoughts were probably one of the reason she survived this long- and now her sister is here.

Karen falls into the mirror and probably freaks out, external or internal idk. For some reason or another- someone always offers info- someone tells her that she comes from another world this is —-world and she probably can’t go back. She recognizes the world and in a panic she probably goes to the guy she assumes is Cecil and (as a girl who knows how to use boys) gives up all this information to prove she’s the girl he talked to. Cecil(or is he), probably looks for guidance when he’s talked to from the only person who dictates his life(his mum) and she probably tells him to play along.
Noah, being the dude he is probably held some concern for her at first but admitted he didn’t care for the crown so Karen ignored him and stayed with the Crown Prince.

Karen is just trying to survive, but the queens a fucking psycopath manipulating her son. Why wouldn’t she threaten his fiancé. OBVIOUSLY the queen is pulling strings for Karen and Prince.
Karen’s outburst and rude behavior are probably
1- a coping mechanism to prevent herself from getting trampled on by others after seeing how fucked the queen is she probably doesn’t want anyone getting too comfortable around her, or they can poison her or do shit, and she’d rather not die
2- as fucked up as it is- Karen finally has some kind of value in her life even if it’s pretending to be someone else. For a yEar she’s been manipulated into this lil scene of a prince and his fiancé- and now her sister is here to threaten all that. If people know she’s a fraud they’ll dispose of her and so on.
3- fear for her sister. It’s been a year and she’s been under direct contact with the fucked up queen. If the queen fucked her brain up this much imagine what she could do to her lil sister. Probably hurt her and make her do all kinds of stuff.
