No the novel has more details and the ending is much more after he gives birth so the story continues ( hope this helps also sorry for any Grammer mistakes English is not my first language)

Does the novel also ends with him getting pregnant?
Because I feel like all this world building was for nothing, we didn't see him becoming a renowned healer nor the everlasting effects of him teaching modern medicine. Also Gail and Douglas being great adventurers but we don't get to see them in action.
