What do you mean Ian is deluding himself into wanting a normal life? What makes you think he doesn’t? I’m sorry, but he clearly wants a normal life which TJ cannot give him unless TJ starts to prioritize him over the gang life.
During the kitchen scene where Jo was making food, Ian looked from the back with a peaceful gaze. He is surprised iirc and actually wants something like that, all his life he’s been in the gang life and struggling.
He is not deluding himself, I can promise you that. It would make more sense to say that someone is deluding themselves into thinking being in the gang life is safe and fine.
And yeah you can’t really compare Jo’s time with how long Ian has been with TJ, it’s not fair because people will meet new people, things won’t always be the same.
Sorry that's just the way I feel
It's how I interpreted it
Ian seems to have way more passion when interacting with the gang and TJ
It just seems to me he's more attracted to his old way of life than he wants to be
He can't seem to help himself from going back
He wants a normal life, but he really doesn't
I promise he wants a normal life. If he said it, it’s the truth. The only thing he’s deluding is his relationship with TJ by thinking everything is okay between them. It was said in CH 44 near the end.
Ian has more passion because that’s all he’s ever known. It’s called codependency, search it up, it’s a real thing and it’s unhealthy.
I don’t think Ian and Jo’s relationship is completely healthy, but it kinda is compared to TJ and Ian’s relationship, mostly because Jo encourages communication between them and between Ian and TJ.
He is also self aware of his actions. I think Jo is slowly unleashing his dark desires, and maybe we’ll see more of it in next season.
Like I don't hate Jo or anything
I just feel the author made him a bit bland compared to TJ and Ian
He feels like he doesn't fit the story
