Differently because it's Korea. Old thinking can't be easily changed in countries that upholds old traditions. LGBTQIA+ is probably hardly even taught, or talked about in public. For them dating the same gender or even changing your own gender is strange and looked down upon by Korean society.
It's cringe to think only of your country where you have it good while lgbtq people in other places struggle. That's cringe.
