I have high hopes for the bl Part-Time Partner cuz it's author is the same with One Night Mate. But, im starting to lose that hope reading its latest chapter...
Authors that resort to the overused, typical pushover trope to make enemies to lovers work are honestly just incompetent.
i only read them if i'm in the mood for whump aka a lot of hurt and pain. but even i will have a point where i'm like "okay this is really getting on my nerves, i'm out".
Like honestly, who even reads those? Personally, it's so frustrating to see, especially if it's paired with a manipulative or abusive ml/fl. No one wants to read a pathetic mc who can't even stand up for themselves or can't survive for 1 panel without the fl/ml.
The only pushover trope that I'd give a chance is when the mc will stop being a pushover or that therw is that sweet revenge.
