i know yall want the kawoshin kiss to be “anime official” but the manga was literally made to promote the anime before it was aired (everything was already animated) and yes ik different timelines of evangelion exist and i can agree with it being real in the manga canon but the author made it into its own independent work outside of the anime canon after the anime’s success so no they didn’t leave parts out in the remake movies or the show lol the kaworu chapters specifically came years after the show.. honestly i really think the author butchered kaworu’s character he’s a lot more forceful and abrasive in the manga which is why i prefer anime kawoshin sooo much better shinji outright hated kaworu here like omg
