You're pretty much the first person I've seen on the Internet that says the plot is good. And then I'm counting mangago, mangadex, bato, ridibooks and templescan. What do you like about it? The translation is pretty accurate. The dialogue is just of really low quality.
As you said the dialog are extremely poor quality. Because of the setting they're in,it could have been a way better story.
Plot wise they are in a historical setting and in the beginning they were trying to showcase a lonely woman. If they stick to that a bit more and made the pacing a bit more slower,it could have hit us in the heart. As beautiful as the artstyle is,it wouldn't have been difficult. All the characters have their struggles and they were mentioned too. As it is a romance,the establishment of their relationship could have been more explored and more justified.
As much as dark they author was trying to show the story is,the writing and pacing is terrible.
That's why I only like the plot but despise the terrible dialogues.
Ah. I got you. I agree. But I think the word is setting, not plot? But there was definitely something interesting here. The pace definitely ruined it, combined with really poor dialogue and characters that saw no development just made this a missed chance. A shame because the art is really good. I honestly think with some better writing the same story could have been told and it could have been pretty alright. Though I will always think that chapter 6 and 7 made no sense. Lily loves Anna. She sees Anna is really hurt. But she does not react at all. Just weird storytelling.
I get what you're saying. Yes,while the setting is good,you can't make a story without plot.
The writing here definitely wanted to give some story instead of just mindless smut.
The plot is how people find love even in their loneliness or how even in loneliness,therefore always someone who wouldn't hesitate to dedicate themselves.
In other words both the plot and the setting are good but horrible execution.
I don't know if it's the translation or the writing itself but it's bad. They're going on about the same thing "is this love" "this is love" "this love is impure" "this love is not meant to be" this and that.
Plot wise the story is good. Its toxic but the theme is pretty mature.
The pacing is horrible. They could've enhanced the writing itself by throwing some typically hard sentences to make it more suitable to the time they're in.
I hope the official translation this might get can improve their speech.
