“Fan Service”?

Before I started reading this I noticed a lot of people commenting on the “fan service” with the girl characters in this manga. To be honest, I didn’t even notice anything per se abnormal about the girl characters, while reading it. I’m not sure if that’s just because at this point, I’m now so used to seeing girl characters objectified, that I don’t even notice it or maybe instinctively ignore it. Either way, I think it’s really sad and disgusting that authors and artists feel the need to add something like that to attract the attention of certain consumers. As a girl myself, who loves reading action; reading about strength, and physical feats, it makes my love of the genre, much harder. And I happen to see this a lot in Asian media like manga, anime, and or tv dramas. Not sure if it’s just a difference in culture or opinion, but it makes me uncomfortable.

Hopefully, in the future we can see less of this.
