I think the 1st time Ella transmigrated she wasn't ACTUALLY behaving like her true self. She seemed to have followed the story and her role of the FL to the tea but as soon as the story ended, and she no longer had a script, then her true colors showed. So if her true self was actually similar to the original FL maybe the happily ever after would've happened for her. Too bad she was a major btch
agreed sm oml the romance between is decent at best but the whole story was so wtf ir was dragging so much. Worst thing abt this is their villainess, in other stories the evilness is good something similar to the empress dowager like the character is made well but Ella's character was fr shit not hatable because she was actually evil but her character was just so shitttttt the other things you mentioned added as well at some point I got tired of reading but I continued cause I just wanted to see her slaying as the empress but wtf
for anyone wanting to read this, here are my personal comments:
this is a great webtoon in terms of romance. it’s cute. the characters are unknowingly in love with one another and they take time realising it and it’s slowburn and it’s cute.
HOWEVER, the plot is just so haphazard & annoying. it’s so random that in the last 20 chapters a majority of the plot takes place. the queen dowager was a mysterious character. she would be super rude and mean in front of everyone to them and in another scene she’d be all polite. isn’t the point of being polite to conceal your true intentions? she’s already been above board so i don’t understand her being polite at all? especially when it’s obvious to both parties that she hates them and is plotting against them.
i also don’t understand the whole Ella transmigrated twice thing. did she have him in a spell last time? did he really love her without any spell or magic? if so, how could her entire personality change in this timeline? nothing is really cleared ever.
furthermore why’d they introduce so many subplots? it hurt my brain. in the last 20 chapters, a whole second male lead was introduced and 3 subplots were introduced - ella being a saintess, some weird god-arc and a third male lead!
AND AFTER ALL OF THAT, the empress dowager is killed OFF SCREEN… we just get one line mentioning that she died? it’s so WEIRD
bottom line: the story is bad. like not good writing at all. but the romance is really cute & the two main leads are really in love.
