i’ve read only 37 chapters so a little more than a half of the current story, but heeseo (seme - the blond one) was orphaned by his mother when he was still very young. she died in a fire and heeseo was rescued by taekyung (uke - the black haired one). taekyung is 9 years older than heeseo and taekyung was actually a student of heeseo’s mother in elementary/middle school. after the fire, heeseo was placed in a foster home where he wasn’t properly taken care of and was physically and mentally abused. taekyung became his “sponsor”, as in he started sending his foster family money and gifts in order to provide for him, but did so in anonymity, so heeseo never knew who was sending any of these. but the foster family actually never gave him any of the things taekyung had sent him. when heeseo is 19, he repeatedly goes onto different rooftops to pretend he’ll jump, and one time he goes to the hospital for that very reason and there he meets taekyung again, though he doesn’t recognize him immediately, but soon heeseo starts learning more about taekyung (how it was him sending him money and the gifts all along, how it was taekyung who saved him from that fire and from falling glass from a broken window) and how he was close with heeseo’s mother. during that time, heeseo starts living with taekyung as he doesn’t want to live with his foster family anymore (and he actually burned the foster family’s house lol). overall, heeseo is really dramatic and is very mean to taekyung, and keeps being so even after he realizes he feels something for the older man. he forces himself multiple time on taekyung, even despite taekyung’s vehement protests, and actually starts emotionally manipulating him, saying that taekyung should fall back in love with him or else he’ll kill himself (well, he doesn’t exactly say that but it’s implied when taekyung rejects heeseo’s love confession and heeseo goes on the rooftop yet another time to commit suicide). there’s a lot of drama, a lot of heeseo’s being generally angry at everything and everyone (especially at taekyung because he was keeping their past a secret and he doesn’t want to return heeseo’s feelings lol), and some non-con stuff between these two. at some point heeseo also contemplates breaking taekyung’s legs so he won’t be able to leave the house anymore. idk what happens next but people say that heeseo also stabbed taekyung. also, 8 years after these events, so when heeseo is 27, it’s shown how he’s keeping taekyung in confinement, shackles and all that, while raping him (it’s literally the first chapter of the story). it’s not in the order of how it’s shown in the webtoon and i might’ve missed some details but i guess that’s the general plot.
That is CRAZY! Yeah, no way im reading this lol. I just wanted someone to summarize it for me cuz i knew it was gonna be fucked up the moment i read the first chapter. I just got rlly curious n i skipped to the last chapter to check if it was gonna be a good ending or whatever n ended up seeing…. That. Anyways, thanks brother! I like tenma and johan too!
yeah lol the first chapter is already fucked up. i think it’s only the first season now, so the events before the confinement from the first chapter. but it’s really crazy and not in an interesting way for me to read lol mainly because i hate heeseo but i think i’ll still read it just from pure spite. but i understand why you don’t want to read it. and yeah i love johan and tenma too
after reading 37 chapters of it, words can’t describe how much i fucking hate this stupid blonde brat. i don’t fucking care what happened to him in his life, he’s clearly just fucked up and not in a funny or interesting way to read. he’s literally insufferable with how he tries to blame taekyung for every single horrible thing that he does to him, gaslighting him into believing that everything is just taekyung’s own fault WHEN IT’S NOT. his “reasons” to punish taekyung are just laughable, and i get that he’s still young and has a very childish mindset but my brother in christ, there are some limits for suspension of disbelief when you’re reading something like that. i can’t think of a single positive trait of his (and no, having a traumatic childhood doesn’t automatically make a character more sympathetic or excuse their behavior). is he well written? idk, did the author intend for him to evoke no other feeling than hatred in a reader? if yes, then i guess he gets the job done, but i still wouldn’t say he’s a very well written character. he’s clearly obsessed with taekyung which isn’t bad in itself but i hate that this obsession comes from a sense of entitlement and a belief that taeykung owes him his love and that heeseo inherently deserves it, and i absolutely hate how he tries to guilt trip taekyung into believing that very thing. he’s just delusional and again, not in an enjoyable way for me to read. and no, taekyung didn’t do anything to deserve being raped, emotionally manipulated, and fucking confined. he felt the obligation to help heeseo (the question of this obligation being reasonable or not is up for interpretation) and he did his best to provide heeseo with a good life, even if heeseo never really saw the money. sure, taekyung could try harder to find how heeseo was actually living, and maybe he stayed oblivious on purpose, maybe this whole sponsorship thing was because of his own selfishness and the need to feel righteous. i’m not saying taekyung is a perfect human being, because he’s not, but he did literally nothing to deserve what that fucking kid did to him, and it’s the hill i’m willing to die on.
