Reading yalls comments, I'm not yet at that part, but back on the countryside, actor Dojoon never locked the door, Yeonwoo himself never locked the door to his house, so why yall expecting the friend to have to lock? Especially since he thought Yeonwoo was asleep? Actually, it's Yeonwoo who should've asked before barging into somebody's room, not the contrary.
I don't know what's the rules of politeness in yalls country but on mine, even if we're close friends, we step in the door frame and let our presence be known before barging in if the house owner is on their bedroom so we won't be stepping over their privacy.
