I like sad yuri too. But without homophobia. I like the fact that LGBT is more accepted now so I don’t have to read repeatedly tropes about being gay was the main problem in the story. I just want to see ppl loving each other. There’s a lot of sad yuri out there. ‘How do we relationship’ was the really good once I’ve read.

Tbh I never saw "the gay" as being the main problem in sad yuri, it's always been insecurity... Which btw is also a trope I like. (The wimp but doing his best male protag... Sadly it's been way overdone now too) The pain and hesitation, "what if that person doesn't like me? Heck WHY would they even like me?" It's like listening to Radiohead's Creep for the first time all over again.

Ngl my thoughts about sad yuri start and end on the genre. I wasn't really thinking about homophobia irl and whatnot. I just want mangakas to write more sad yuri stuff again, I really don't enjoy sweet fluffy yuri beyond a few chapters. My reading tastes are on the unhinged side, that's why I have the name I have.
My toxic trait is lowkey hating the fact that being LGBT is more accepted now, coz I miss the days when sad yuri like these was everywhere. Now it's usually either smexy or fluffy stuff... Which is nice too ngl, but sad yuri just hits different.
