everyone is trashing on hiroto, but in my perspective he grew up in a bad environment with a bad parental figure of course he'd have issues. honestly he just wanted to love her sister with good intentions because he himself has never felt genuine affection until he met her. if i were in his place id also feel like the mc was sabotaging the only source of happiness I have because of their selfish 'love' for me.

If the mc just learnt from the start to accept that hiroto couldnt reciprocate her feelings, everyone wouldn't have had to suffer at all :C
