I just considered them as two different masterpiece.
Omg it totally get it- like I'm glad the art is easier to understand but the chr became kinda mid- they lost their og personalities
The story changed (not technically) here's why. You can definitely feel in the chap 1-8 the ruthlessness of the king and how everything seems to be dark and mysterious but as soon as the chap 9 came, everything changed to the art, vibe, personalities of the chara, and even the whole story, talk about big leap.
My perspective about the King was ruined I swear... They turn him into one of those typical yaoi top who's ugh! No more
