Trauma is much more profound than that, he was severely abused for a long time and he don't even know this new Lyna is a whole different person, his abuser doesn't exist anymore (kinda). I can't blame him if he so chooses to continue with revenge, we are being swayed by the plot into finding her pitiful, but if it were only his pov we'd be lived by him forgiving her.
Oh I'm not saying he *should* end up with Illiana and I'm disappointed or anything like that, more that all of her actions until now have been in an attempt to change the storyline so that she doesn't die, but we're seeing that it seems like nothing has actually changed it has just been a delay of the process, so to speak. It's really interesting to me!
I think he might with her talking about him being a novel character and stuff, either he knows or he thinks she's incredibly mentally unwell and will see it as a chance to get her entirely dependent on him (actually a strong possibility considering how much he is leaning into "don't worry, you can trust me"). Also agreed I think she was just panicking, scared, didn't think things through very well and was just looking for a temporary easy solution while she tried to figure out how to get back to the real world, which it turns out didn't have an easy solution. That all came back to bite her for sure.
He wanted Cheryl to be his queen…wtf. (︶︿︶)=凸
