That arc just tone deaf.

Hunger can be solved with love and passion? That's crap.

I also thought so! Specially when Tsubaki made it seem like their problems were on the same level (not saying the prejudice he faced was not important, but realistically it's not nearly as bad as hunger), it clearly came from a privileged standpoint, but the way I see it, it's not that far fetched for teens who never went hungry to not understand that (it's that same old One Piece quote "Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values") in the end I felt mildly satisfied that their solution was to find jobs for the kids (coincidence or not it was the working adult's idea), it's a more secure income than just beating ppl up but in my mind they probably still do that kind of stuff sometimes bc not all kids got jobs, they're just more selective of what fights for money they'll accept bc they don't want to beat innocent ppl. Anyway, it's not like the manga is supposed be realistic, but if they really solved hunger with just the "power of friendship" I'd have been kind of pissed off, I think the author tried to find a middle ground between what's "too realistic" and "too shonen" which feels a bit half assed
