I sympathize with Karazuma, even though I have to admit that as a literary "romantic idealist or purist", my heart bleeds when I see the alpha witnessing his soulmate being gang banged or fucked by someone else, even though they don't owe anything to each other or that they are soulmates yet; but, in this particular case, I have to suppress my romantic sensibilities to objectively appreciate what is going on.
Both Karazuma and Takaba are atypical for their genders and I think we can safely infer this atypicality is probably the result of trauma for the both of them. We still don't know what happened to Karazuma, but we can infer through the flashback that Takaba's father was an Omega that (based on those hickeys) dealt with promiscuity for reasons we don't know yet, which is why Takaba initially feels contempt for Karazuma and doesn't want to be around Omegas as he/they reminds him of his father and why he refuses to succumb to his Alpha instincts. Even though I don't like his prejudice, I have to say that I admire his strength, because it's gotta take some serious cojones to fight not only his reaction to omega pheromones, but his reaction to what I suspect is his fated pair during heat no less; which is proof in my opinion that Alphas have the strength to resist the omega's pheromones and act rationally, instead of surrendering to their base instincts like most semes do in the Omegaverse (which I have also enjoyed :D ).
I know that a lot of people are being harshly critical of Karazuma, calling him a slut, whore, etc. but I don't think we have enough information yet to impart judgement on his character. On this last chapter we learned that Karazuma doesn't enjoy being promiscuous, that he in fact hates Alphas, which leads me to believe that like Takaba, he also suffers from trauma, which is not surprising considering the shit Omegas have to deal with. In the case of Karazuma, I have to say that even though I don't agree with his actions, I admire him immensely and I'm sure will end up loving him once we get the full picture; but I admire him because he has made the conscious decision to use the very thing that is condemned by their society and used to subjugate omegas (their sexuality), to empower himself. He has decided that instead of becoming a passive victim, he is going to be an assertive and non-apologetic one and use Alphas for his own benefit (career, social status, emotional, whatever it is) as much as they use him for their sexual gratification. Overall, this is turning out to be a very interesting omegaverse story. I'm rooting for Karazuma and Takaba and can't wait for the next chapters! Awesome job from the scalantion group, I appreciate them with all my heart and soul!! ヾ(☆▽☆)
