As a novel reader you’re not wrong that’s why I was so surprised. this ain’t that type of story. I think the artist drew him scarier than he was described. Most of the time he’s looking hazy is because he was deep thinking over something or insecure. So when I saw everyone thinking he was about to kill his boyfriend or something i was cracking up
ngl ik the ML is possessive and everything but I genuinely don’t think he’s crazy to the extent some readers think he is (like kindnapping/locking up/ostracizing from friends crazy)— it just doesn’t at all fit the vibe or setting of the story.
i fr just think the author does too well of a job at making him scary; instead when i see his darkish/foreboding face I just assume it would softer yk.
but hey if im wrong in the future oh well
