Blanche and the king are truly pitiful I like the fl being independent but the way she treats the king is just so cold and the only reason I can think of why she's like is trauma from her old life and father and she's unconsciously pushing her views of him on to her current father and poor Blanche she is brat but deep down she really is a good girl with feelings and empathy for others and I'm glad she at the very least feels bad about what her parents did that raises my hopes for a redemption arc for her and maybe (like a big maybe) for her mother since we can still raise the excuse that she just wants to make her husband happy
