I knew there was more to her, and I could never blame an abused child lashing out the way she did. I just almost gave up on empathizing with her after what she did to JiaJing, but in the end, JiaJing was just gonna be another victim like Mari. I feel like everyone's bad feeling are a little misguided and directed at Mari when it's all her mother's doing. I just hope the pastor finally get arrested and Mari gets to be free as she always wish since childhood.
Honestly, Mary may be a nasty piece of work but I can't be angry at her. Judging from the last chapter, even after a few years have passed, she's still abused and controlled by her mother and seeing how she probably dealt with that her whole entire life, I frankly just pity her.
