if the reason of why omegaverse is popular in here maybe because a very ( at least for me ) good manga named "romantic" made by moriya was translated in english ( that was the first omegaverse manga that was translated and shared in internet ) and people are like " omg, i never know omegaverse can be this good. more give us more ! " xD and when a manga with this setting shows up it becomes popular.
another thing is a nice translation group translate many omegaverse manga ( btw those manga are from the same anthology ) so more people read manga with this type of setting and boom it becomes popular

I think there's also the demographic of fan girls that want to see mpreg. Or at least having gay families started by their favorite couples. It coincides to why there's many fan service chapters about a couple baby sitting a child or stories that involve small children.
The main target audience are girls anyway. Sell a story by having a lot of romance or sex/ also between two attractive guys/ have some cute kids or pets in there too to really seal the deal, and bam, profit. Win win for everyone
I just thought that it was because a scanlation group that's dedicated to omegaverse formed up (omegaverseaddicted). They started translating everything from BBoy and putting it out asap, so for a while the latest updated mangas were crowded with omegaverse stuff (no complaints here though~). And in turn, more interest in other omegaverse stories.

I mean I love it and have been reading omegaverse fanfic since a while now but I had never read any omegaverse yaoi before...
I haven't been coming much on this website these last few months, and now a lot of people are talking about it !
So yeah I sort of was wondering about it...
Also just to have some numbers, when have you discovered it ?
