Soo basically all I know is that she hated her kid and husband before because she was missing her mum(?) it seemed like her mother was murdered which led her old self to make a deal with the redhead witch to not remember her past and be able to live freely without letting her past circumstances get to her….I think that’s what the story is getting at….
the way I understood it is that she has always been Sheriel. The witch (red haired lady) took her memories as a bet because Sheriel said without her mother, there was nothing left for her in the world and the witch disagreed. Sheriel had become so depressed from the loss of her mother, the abuse of her sperm donor, and probably the guilt of loving the man whose father murdered her mom. So in losing her memories she realized she was loved and cared for by her husband and son and had a family to live for so when she regained her memories she wasn't depressed anymore. Idrk how her past life and the book come into play tho that part confuses me
