Because it's more human, relationships aren't just fuzzy and warm it's complexe, I love this story because I can feel some genuine feelings like hesitation and rationality it's normal to break up when the other person doesn't give u enough attention or just puts you second, and jts normal to feel awkward around a childhood friend who confessed because you don't want to just him by telling him off or letting him have some false hope, I love it !
