The top said that he prefers older people because they're not clingy and more mature, and top wanted only a fuck buddy. So the bottom created his other persona, so he can be with top (hope it's make sense, I just woke up and English is my second language, my brain is not working correctly yet lol)

When you're in college, it's pretty normal not to remember a classmates name. Specially when you are in different courses and only share a few subjects together
They're in uni, not highschool so
