Rn the manga is in the middle of volume 4 of the light novel. Some big romantic development happens near the end of the volume 4 light novel, after the hot springs arc. Btw there are currently 9 light novels out, so almost halfway through. The yuri is a slow burn, but trust me it pays off.

damn we're not even halfway done? and here i was thinking that I wont be able to handle it if we only get a confession and kiss scene at the end of the story, considering how slow burn the romance is. anyway, thanks for answering my question.
