Wait so Leon is that mage who attacked her? I don't get it

If I remember correctly the spoiler from novel update, Ignis is the fire elemental she made a contract in her past life or something like that, but in this life he takes Leon form/controls Leon. He isn't attacking her but protecting, you can see this when Rohan notices both water wings and fire wings.
