chapter 108 makes me have the interpretation that it could be sexual sadism, for example. despite not meeting some DSM criteria, I think it's more interesting if the author has purposely put a psychological aspect into the narrative. the metaphor that Takamada makes of his desire being a snake that can bite others reminds me of reports from people with paraphilias who say they feel something similar

He's definitely a sadist. A real one like OUT THERE type of sadist. I think he has some sort of impulse disorder. For example (extreme) there's sexual sadist rapist/serial killers. They get sexual arousal and satisfaction from causing pain, humiliation and death to someone. It's a release. It usually comes as an impulse that they can't control. They MUST kill to get that climax/release. A more normal example let's say OCD ! This person MUST non negotiable organization their bedroom a certain way. It's an impulse. Or else they won't feel comfortable/will have a meltdown/something bad will happen to them. That's combined with intrusive thoughts very often in the case of ocd. Tbh I think Taka has some trauma that we don't know yet that is SO SEVERE he maybe never had control in his life. He internalized his trauma as this deep dark thing he must never explore or even think of or else it SPILLS OUT like black goo from him in the latest chapter. In his case his trauma is heavily affecting his sexual behavior making him do sadistic things even though it feels good he KNOWS it's bad morally to want to sexually torture someone and he feels great shame and terror he's gonna hurt Yuu, the person he loves. But that's the only way he may feel he has control on his life. I think it probably has to do with his relationship with his mom... Who knows what that woman has done to him. Or her partners. It's heavily hinted in the series she's cheating or cheated on his dad. Who knows of one of them did something to him as a child. It doesn't excuse his behavior but explains where or why he feels/acts the way he does. This story may not be executed perfectly but I like it def.

In this specific story, I don't think it's appropriate to interpret that his paraphilia was born just from trauma, but it was developed because of the family environment in which he grew up. In several chapters it shows that the first time he felt sexual desire due to the discomfort of others was when watching it on television, even when he was a pre-teen/child, so I think it kind of tells us that it was a construction from birth. psychologists consider that paraphilias and antisocial personalities are predispositions, the person is born with this predisposition. I think his mother was a big trigger for this.
this manga really isn't that well executed, but I like this character and how he allows us to discuss these things
I'm intrigued what kind of disorder he has or it's really just a kink? Really, really curious.....
