Long since I read it, but pretty sure real Yvonne is dead, and that is someone else. She uses that shard to manipulate people, which is why the mls sometimes act different and dont bealive mc.
I think the ritual mc stopped was important for Yvonne to become stronger? So yeah shes also mad at her for that
