I recommen reading the novel and then Re-reading it while following the webcomic. There's so much foreshadowing so much little details that you only catch once you look back, but since the novel is that long, even looking back isn't enough, so the only way is reading again, and it's a really fascinating experience.

Like you wonder on the very first chapter "was this the 4th wall inserting itself in dokja?" even if later on it is officially introduced. Seeing the little comments of secret plotter, knowing its identity is a new experience entirely, but knowing the end of the 1st turn?? It's so very special.
Seeing Dokja realize little by little his importance without him ever connecting those dots. Love dearest, I want to smother you in love until you love yourself.
There's this scene where Sooyoung wonders if Joonghyuk was rly as bad in WoS as dokja makes him to be, and knowing how wos was written, the moments in which dokja read them everything really…
we learn throughout the first read that dokja isn't entirely a reliable narrator because he thinks he knows it all and sees everything through his reader filter, but on the second read, going in with this in mind and having already read about the characters after dokja overcomes his "i know it all" mentality… everything becomes different!
You know the scene where dokja first dies in front of yjh and he thinks yjh calls him a companion for coins? Some might believe him because he's our narrator and he KNOWS yjh better than anyone, I did, I believed he dint care for Gilyoung in the beginning because he says so.
But on the second read you know he's putting on a front, you know he grows to love Gilyoung's really early on, you know he is wrong and yjh was being sincere about being companions already at that point. Not only because now I know yjh, but also I could pay attention to more details, which in the panic of knowing whether they'd save Yoosung or not I didn't notice on the first read. Like, yjh mind went blank in his revenge rage over kdj's death, so much so that dokja couldn't use the omniscient reader 1st person point of view on him, which means there's no way he would have considered putting on an act for the constellations.
ALSO, re-reading the novel while also re-reading the webcomic is VERY fun, to have that visual representation, to be able to point out the changes,
Anyways. The existential crisis WILL come, but you'll still have the comic, and the story is worth it, every single time.
I actually know who Secretive Plotter is, and also YJH's sponsor hehe. I know all the major spoilers actually. Although in the novel part I'm not actually at that point. I'm actually lost as to which chapter I am. But yes, I am aware that YJH already did think of KDJ as his companion! KDJ probably isn't aware of that fact because he's directly involved. He's sharp when it comes to other things, but not when he's the subject. He's similar to me in that regard lmao. That, and also he probably can't comprehend that HE changed YJH. Still kinda sad they didn't make it officially gay at least in the end HAHSHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHA
Actually, when this was just starting, I was reading it and I stopped after 60 chapters because I wanted to read the novel as a whole. I haven't actually finished the novel though (although I know the spoilers), because I'm about to and I didn't want it to end lmao. Now I'm lost as to which chapter I left at. I wasn't going to read the manhwa until I actually finished the novel, but I couldn't not read it because I was so bored and I had nothing to read because the manhwas I'm reading is still not updated. Now, I wanna actually finish the novel while still reading the manhwa because the visuals are crazy good.
