why does it matter who bottoms?
I'm sorry but I don't understand why that saddens you (i'm not trying to be mean). Since realistically gay couples switches - it doesn't have the heteronormative dynamic??? Does it even matter who bottoms???? It's still Victuuri?!?!
Maybe it's just my way of seeing, but when it comes to djs I prefer the couple one way... especially YOI djs, since from the 3rd ep I realised it was something to do with BL....I never thought something with just sports tag could overwhelm me and make me cry...I'm not much interested in sports even less ice skating. I've watched free, HQ and knb are in my list....Yeah, I call myself a fujoshi yet I still don't go around shipping people, I didn't ship this couple either before I realised their love was mutual, now I don't want them to be apart even at the end of world...I love the way the are now but if they were ever to go to the next stage I would like Victor to show every ounce of his love to his beloved Yuuri who admired and worshipped him for a long time...From ep3 Yuuri saying being perg from Victor's sexiness and Victor treating him like a fragile being that he wants to protect, the way they act and their physical built made this idea imprinted into me the way it'll be if they ever do it...

Showing the love Victor has for Yuuri through having Yuuri bottom is imo, the yaoi dynamic that the genre has. which in turn saddens me. Victor bottoming is also his way of proving his love for Yuuri (among other things lol).
Bottoming doesn't equal the less dominant in the relationship. Victor doesn't have most of the power in the relationship and neither does Yuuri.
because wasn't the fact that the show went through LENGTHS to prove that they are equal was one of the reasons YOI became popular?

It's kinda depressing seeing Victor as the uke...idk but I think I love Victor×Yuri couple waaaaaay to much that every time I see the other way around I feel really down is it really me or does this happen to anyone else???...
