Even though I struggled with the story's hardcore acts of sadism, and found it hard to understand the exact psychological trauma that triggered Sarasa's over the top sadistic behavior, I have to say I'm glad I stuck with it till the end. There's a lot of things I didn't feel comfortable with, also, I wondered how was it possible that the path of all of these people with deep psychological issues coincidentally converged so perfectly, but I guess I should just attribute that to yaoi logic. I found this story fascinating, if difficult, and my romantic sensibilities were very much satisfied with happy ending of the poly-amorous threesome of Sarasa, Kazunari and Haruki.

I read Sarasa as having been born different, not having experienced a trauma. Like psychopathy, it's not a disease, there is no cure but there are physical differences in the brain.
