Pains me how some of you failed to see the characters deeper especially the male lead. He was shit okay, a scumbag, a jerk, a biggest piece of shit and his actions shouldn't be excuse but at the same time he was miserable. His mother abandoned him in such a young age, got beaten up, tortured by people and got adopted and raised by the wrong people, he was so young that time he would yearn for anyone's affection without knowing they're bad people, he's surrounded by greedy nobles making him grow up with a poor mindset that 'money can solve anything' 'I am nothing without my money' because there's no one around him to actually teach him how to be a good person. He lacks communication and even lack to understand human emotions because all he do in his life was to work and be used by his adoptive parents. Obviously, how he grow up isn't enough to justify what he did to our fmc but he slowly learning, he's trying to understand (even though he's still pretty shit on it) he's trying to find a way to kill himself because he believes that fmc would be happy if he's gone plus he can no longer stand his shitty life. This man seriously needs to improve his communication skill and actually have a deep talk with the fmc

Exactly like the characters in the story itself no one is actively trying to see him. Of course, he’s bad with communication because no one really tried to communicate with him. He was just a body, a tool that could be used. It makes sense when he gets married to the woman who used to be the princess he would think she thinks the same because he’s been raised to believe that everyone thinks the same as his parents. Even his assistant doesn’t really see him because he tells him he was going to kill himself and he tells him to stop playing around even though he doesn’t seem like the type of joke about situations like this.

These two are some of my favorite leads in anything because both of them are allowed to be damaged and you can see how this affects them, but also how it affects each other. And how even though they stumble, they both help each other grow (the FL helping the ML more then the other way round but she was raised at a higher level than he was so it makes sense that she’s in a better place than he is when it comes to situations like this)

Literally this!!!!! Like they both are incredibly immature due to how they were raised (FL seemed to be neglected by her parents to some extent) leading to their bad relationship, BUT the ML suffered WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more than the FL (not that it's a competition), but u can see that in their actions: ML is more of an ahole/immature coz he was abused more as a kid (doesn't excuse it, but ppl should try to understand him better)
