royalty in manhwa, how does it work? so let’s say the king has a child, he would be the crown prince ryt? at what point does he become king? when he gets married or when the present king dies? also is the emperor and king the same thing?

    The position change is more like a job change yk, a king can step down from his throne if he feels the crown prince is ready to take on the role. But most of them just held on until they die lol cause they're greedy bastard

    If I'm not mistaken, King is a ruler of certain country or kingdom. Emperor is the one that rules over multiples kingdom and territories, usually done by taking over countries in war.

    Depends on the author because manhwa is just offbrand fantasy europe with little research and realism or worldbuilding

    Sometimes they follow more eastern rules with polygamy and harems of multiple wives, the queen is referred to as the moon, king is sun, prince is little sun or star. Sometimes the prince becomes king when he's married, sometimes coronation .really depends on what the author wants.
