You already lost simply because you lack the ability to have sympathy for the fl which is fine; it’s a story, not that deep. What you also do is purposefully ignore the fact that the fl isn’t aware of anything. Why would she trust the man that was standing over her dead parents bodies, the man who forcefully tied the marriage while she was asleep, and most of all rape her, over her already established “trustworthy” fiancé? Unless the FL acted in accordance to ML’s actions, there’s no double standards because the situations aren’t remotely the same.
I mention this simply because you want to erase all those previous actions in order to confirm your own bias of “double standards” when it comes to the FL’s “cheating” and her nightmare of ML’s potential adultery.

Double standard is a word that’s been recently thrown around by many people when they see their beliefs being challenged or questioned. Trying to see the double standard that you claim is being done from the FL and the ML fell short of nothing but just you and others who agree with you plainly taking the ML’s side. Which like I said is fine just that your whole argument fumbled the moment that bias was confirmed.
By definition what she’s doing is cheating there’s no way around it, but you place emphasis on the fact that she cheated instead of the why. You want to remove context behind the cheating to elevate your very basic 8th grade level argument of “double standards” because you, just as everyone else who has read the story knows why the cheating happened in the first place and definitely understand why people don’t care about FL being with the ex before, during, or after any action done by the ML. You just choose to ignore it in order to fill your own ego.
The why is just as important as the what regardless of your own personal opinion. The thing about humans is that they place value on their moral beliefs thus, regardless of you trying to paint this “double standard” narrative that you wholeheartedly believe is fact, people that have read the story and sympathize with the female leads POV will not agree with you. Or maybe just people with sympathy and common sense.
It just looks like a case of a moral dilemma and you placing priority over the act of cheating rather than what lead to the cheating. Which is fine there’s always an opposing side to anything that exists in this world.
But then again, you said nothing revolutionary about an incompetent story in the first place.

Y’all lack critical thinking skills and reading comprehension. The dark text and images while the FL is asleep, literally shows that she DREAMING/having a nightmare and imagining him with someone else. If you use your brain to connect context clues, you see before the night she dreams of him- she was anxious and insecure. Aka leading her to dream about him being with someone else. And then one person tryna be doubtful and be like: there’s no indication it’s a dream- that’s an assumption! It was a dream. There was no indication he was interested in anyone else but the FL the entire story.
My main issue and why y’all might find me harsh is because I can see many of you guys definitely have double standards. In the beginning of the story, the FL was willingly and happily having an affair with her lover (the blonde guy) and hating the ML, her husband. No one cared cause they justified it with the ML being a bad dude. Now that things seem to be going well, y’all get upset by a dream sequence you didn’t understand and are angry saying “he better not cheat!! I’ll kill him!” When he didn’t, y’all just don’t know how to read. And y’all also didn’t see the problem with the FL cheating. But only hate it at the possibility of him doing it.
