i disagree, it was always hinted at that there was something different/“wrong” with her and that she had her secrets. “she’s too chill” there is a reason for that which will be explained in the upcoming chapters. i also would’ve dropped this story if it took such a linear and boring approach, why would i want to know straight off the bat such a significant plot point? where’s the fun? where’s the mystery? you don’t get to figure it out for yourself, you’re essentially being told all you need to know from the beginning and it essentially becomes a soulless and boring story just like every other romance. might as well drop it at the start because you know what’s going to happen. slowly uncovering the truth and more about the story is definitely the way to go.
You had a point when u said it would be more fun if the plot twist is not revealed from the start, bcuz ofcourse it would then be boring. My point was, from my reading, there doesnt seem to be anything pointing on to the future big plot. It seems like a big drop of a bomb when revealed shes the daughter of that bad emperor guy. Im not saying they should reveal the fact from the start, im saying they atleast shouldve hinted that theres something that may make ml not trust or accept the mc.
Though i might have missed some reading, or forgot, and to add more on the fact that why shes so chill at the start will be further explained later. Which leads to me feeling that the plot twist was accidentally put in
Dawg the sudden plot twist, idk it feels like the author last minute put that plot twist in because plot twist this big shouldve been mentioned since the start, like if she were ever the daughter she would be hesitating to form the contract with the tiger from the start, i mean she was too chill
