^^^^ I couldn't agree more. He had a chance to be the better partner he claimed to be and listen to his boyfriends insecurities and assure him, instead he got mad and stormed out without hearing him out. Just as Yajima said "I fucked up again" or whatever, proved that Torikai actually made him feel the same way his ex did.

IT WAS SO UNCALLED FOR!! how was he more upset at his boyfriend for thinking the worst about the situation… it’s like he didn’t confront tori to talk about the matter and instead wanted to take his feelings out as punishment
the focus should’ve been on reassuring him and admitting his own feelings were hurt by not hearing the news about the promotion first. and everyone saying they would’ve reacted the same way as yajima genuinely scare me. it screams immaturely from the lack of accountability and understanding
