If u went back and reread it, she did that bc he hurt her so she wanted him to hurt too so she was being intentionally cruel on purpose
I read it clear so I don’t need to reread it. I know why she did it. I’m saying it doesn’t make sense. She may have hurt him but at the cost of her character. All those people around her perceived her as an asshole. And let’s say he was the kind of guy to talk to others. He can go around saying “this is what she said to me when we broke up.” And she can’t even deny it because it’s true. She could have just broken up with no explanation and left. Instead, she gave that whole speech. Idk, I personally think it lacks critical thinking
U ever been in a relationship before? Ppl get real petty and immature, nothing new. Ur saying it will ruin her character but I doubt she cares about that or anyone else in the shop she probably won’t meet again except ML, she just cared about hurting him. I mena like she’s literally dragging a random dude to “date” her to make her ex jealous. A lot ppl lack common sense when they’re angry. Good for u since u since to be oh wise and mature but a lot of ppl aren’t ( I would know from experience) doesn’t excuse it but yea
I never understand when the authors write the character to break up in the way FL did. It makes them look bad to anybody who hears it. It doesn’t make them sound cool or strong. Instead, it sounds mean and stuck up. I guess I just don’t understand the logic. Wouldn’t you rather exit and be remembered as mature and stoic? I’m not saying she has to pour her emotions out or reveal what she heard. Instead, maybe just be like “Let’s break up” and then offer no explanation
