I'm sorry but why mature and tame version? Do we have any underage readers? And if so are they that naive that they will choose tame version instead of mature version? Sorry if I'm projecting but in my younger days I used to hide to read those R rated harlequin series so I tot everyone was like me(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

    Well, there are also adults who would choose the tamer version over the mature version as well. not to mention it's a good story, and having a non mature version allows for it to reach broader audiences thus gaining more popularity.
    it's really just about preference and accommodation. it isn't necessary, but it has its pros.

    It's not only for underage readers, but readers who don't want to consume sexual content or for one reason or another just don't enjoy it, while still wanting to read the story itself. I mean, it is of no harm to you, right?
