I'll never understand people that use translation machine to translate. Like, you having zero knowledge of the language that you're translating and fully relying on translation machine, what's the point of you as a translator then??? I believe these people are fully aware of how inaccurate their translation are, making people and even themselves who read their translation doesn't understand anything, yet why there are still people who keep doing this??? Like, pls just stop

for me it's the nerve to get upset when they're called out on it and told to stop posting like... you think i'd be grateful? i'd rather look at the raws

I think they’re just doing it to improve their language, but I totally agree with you on that. I mean, if I wanted to read something like shitty translated I can do that myself. So no thank you.

While it's not ideal to use mtl, I've seen some use to translate series that aren't being picked up by scans at all. MTLs aren't 100% correct but it's possible to connect things together if the translator knows how to explain some things that might be confusing. Not every single series will be translated and have an Official English translation nor will every scans pick up every single series. I think the person is respectable if they know and understand that they are using a machine to translate it for them and gives readers a heads up before reading.

But if you wanted to translate something with a machine, you should atleast have some skills that would help you out, if a beginner was to translate everything with barely any knowledge of any kind of skill like English grammar, Japanese/Korean meanings, things like that, or are too lazy to do some research before doing so, I'd rather go and read the raws myself.

(I'm just rambling lol, this isn't meant to become a heated argument or anything .)
