i have mixed feelings for that manga. it started interesting, with uke clearly taking advantage of an underage cousin, but at the end they just became “lovers” as if it was the most natural thing to happen. i felt as if the fact that they were both men was treated as more controversial than the fact that the uke slept with his cousin who was in middle school while he was already a university student. i know it happens in real life, that’s why i found the premise of this manga interesting, but what also usually happens in real life cases like this is grooming the younger person and manipulating them into a relationship like that, or at least threatening them not to tell anyone else. i’d understand the lack of these things when it was the younger person kind of “pursuing” the older and the older allowing that, but it’s also not the case here, at least it didn’t start like that. so it’s just a rapist pedo uke who fucks up his younger cousin but it’s okay, there’s nothing wrong with that because ultimately his younger cousin comes to like it and they start a relationship (at least a few years later so he’s not dating a middle schooler while being a whole ass university student). i’m not saying that these things are bad and no one should write about them, i’m saying that i’m disappointed when someone wants to write about them but doesn’t treat them seriously and turns them into a “normal” love story where nothing indicates that this relationship is far from normal (not even talking about legality here lol).
not even gonna mention seme changing his whole personality throughout the story lol. i fail to see the reason for such a drastic change.
