Yes to all, even the mangakas know that Kana is a ray of light in their lives, Akane always knew that Aqua was closer to Kana, even she herself likes Kana too and see how bright she is.
I don't get why people hate on the ship and say it makes no sense, I get it from the Kana haters and Aqua x Akane lovers but everyone else? C'mon guys it was obvious and natural ever since they met.
As someone who thinks Kana is boring, my reasoning pretty much stems out to her arc just repeating over and over and over, almost like there is no growth to her. Also her being the deprecating tsundere archetype doesn’t help either, I tend to dislike those characters and find them annoying.
Aqua likes his tsunderes
I am so happy that they finally confirmed it. Even though it was so obvious in the previous chapters with Akane saying "I know he's smitten by Kana" and with Memcho confronting Aqua about his feelings towards Kana. Him saying that the only way to protect her is to put some boundaries between them because she's soaring high and he doesn't want her to be dragged down because of him.
I appreciate Akane as well because she was a good character and I see relationship development between her and Kana. But what I like about Kana the most is her ability to bring those who are down, up. This is confirmed by the President and Director when they had a shooting in one of the previous chapters.
Kana is a great character, she contributed a lot to Ruby's character and mental health, and to Aqua's acting. She inspires those around her and this is seen through Akane, who liked her when dhe was younger. She aspired to become a good actress also because of Kana.
So Idk why people dislike her, and say she's boring, when she's the most interesting character in this manga. Heck! She and Memcho gives life to the dull over edged written leads. But to be honest I think she deserves more than Aqua, like let's be real, Aqua is so revenge driven that he cannot see value for now. I'm trusting the mangaka's takent to power through plot holes and suspicious love interest (like Ruby).
