From experience...... yes. If it goes too far back in your throat, as your throat and nose is connected back there, if you're not ready (or even if you are) just like with any "liquid" or food. It can go up the pipe, out/in your nose cavity. In the opposite way, it's like when you're sick with a runny nose and sniff, grossly, mucus Can go down your throat.
