And two of the scenes that make you feel for him most powerfully I think are :
1. The scene at the gate where everyone protests against him and he had to leave. Not even his fellow judges could side with him, only An Zhe went after him and took him home. Bc even in that situation An Zhe thought LuFeng wasn't wrong.
2. Is when he finally reaches the lab in abyss only to see An Zhe sacrificing himself to save everyone. He literally saw the one he loves brun into smithereens in front of his eyes. Atp, he could only feel the loss thinking he lost him forever..
The fact that among the people he knew, he's most afraid to lose is An Zhe.

For anyone who dislike Lu Feng whatsoever, I think we're not reading the same novel (kidding). He's never been an asshole to An Zhe. That one time An Zhe accidentally absorbed a little bit blood from Lu Feng, you'll know. Then another one is when An Zhe told Pauli Jones his story, making him realize why Lu Feng been like that. Idk but a lot of scene in the novel showed how affectionate Lu Feng is to An Zhe to the point everyone thought he already bedded him So how come yall dislike him? He's amazing the entire time.
