i like unique styles when they actually work, but this is just off putting to me.
the art looks kind of stiff, and that dude with the big eyes is giving me uncanny valley vibes + the story itself doesnt interest me ether. (i read the 1st ch)
and my opinion has nothing to do with the main genres that i read.

Yeah I get it art is subjective but people screeching about the artstyle in most of the comments is annoying and disrespectful, I don't see these kinds of comments much in other genres that's all.

If you read other genres and can appreciate other artstyles too, you should know that my comment wasn't for you and I'm not even talking about this manhwa specifically but all manhwa in romance general. It wasn't anything to take personally, it was a call out to people being annoying.
I don't want to keep having this debate about how you do like other artstyle but hate this one and you'll definitely not be the only one here like that so I don't want to have to defend this author against 10 other people lol. It also just feels weird and disrespectful to me, it'll have a chain comments of people just critiquing and defending their artstyle and the purpose of my original comment will be for nothing.

Not trying to compare this artist to Picasso's art but many people think his art is shit and a scam but he's still revered as one of the greatest artist ever. So yeah art is subjective.

art is subjective, but to make art that works and with intention, one always still needs to have a good understanding of the objective foundations and fundamentals of art before anything els.
picasso was classically trained. he sure as hell understood art, and he applied that knowledge fundamentally in his abstract work. not everyone likes abstract art- that is were the subjectivity of taste comes to play.
outside of preference, if ppl genuinely question his artistic ability and knowledge, that just speaks on their own ignorance.


its true that alt styles are not appreciated, but this is not an example of that.
its not unique, its just another rendition of the yaoi jaws, thick necks, and freakishly huge hands in some panels syndrome + no rendering/shading.
im no art snob, but calling this unique is insulting to real unique and alt styles.
this isnt stylized art, its just a poorly executed idea, thats why ppl dont like it.
im not even dunking on the artist, art is hard.
my problem is the narrative that YOU have about it.
