I personally don't agree that he is traumatized. Sure he is in a way flabbergasted or still shocked by what he says, but I feel like that contradicts the next scene where he flushes. I haven't read the novel, but I honestly see it as something he is embarassed about and now he has to endure Iay saying that Taeui is "his".
Not that I'm romanticizibg their relationship or thinking of it in a romantic way, but the way Taeui is generally portrayed in this story , it feels like that isn't really gonna "traumatize" him. (I feel like the word "traumatize" is not the best word to describe his reaction, it could be something lesser than that. But nonetheless, I view it as a strong to extreme emotion.)
Bro like everyone does not care like the uncle doesn’t care what happens to his nephew/son even though it’s his fault he’s in the FREAKING MESS it’s so annoying seeing him just continue his life like normal, also where IS THE BROTHER LIKE PLS YOUR BROTHER ALMOST DIED 300 TIMES AND YOUR NOT WORRIED?!? Also it’s heartbreaking to see how taeui was crying to his uncle and the uncle is just laughing, like that was his cry for help :(
ALSO HE FELT SICK WHEN ILAY SAID EVERYTHING WAS HIS POOR TAEUI IS TRAUMATIZED
Ilay could have been so much better if he didn’t abuse taeui, Ilay thinks he can get away with everything without worrying about the feelings of Taeui
