the only explanation i can think of is just popularity is like how much comments (i think) or how many people votes for it idrk tho and for views it's just views
i guess it's probably that , that just always got me confuse how they count "popularity" if not with views lol

My concept was a bit different. Popularity was based on the views and comments that are coming in on the this day/week/month, while views is just the overall views. While popularity could change every week or month, views just shows what was most read by the readers, regardless if it's still popular or not.
but when you search for popularity it dosen't show the popular one at the time it's still some more older series
