is it bad

is it bad that I actually prefer MC with jingi than MC with grey hair. I just feel like grey hair and MC have no chemistry at all. Also, jingi is an asshole, idk how the story will progress but I guess there will be someone as endgame amidst the angst, even though I wish MC would just get his sentence done and help his family and such, but then there wouldn't be a story. So thinking about a ML, I think that Jingi is much more intriguing despite the problematic stuff while grey hair is obviously the one that seems ok outside but must be as much if not even more problematic than jingi. I don't trust him at all. I also think that a hate to love pipeline is more interesting, so there's that.
But idk, I think I just don't find grey hair to be as interesting and "cute" as the other commentators, and it seems like almost everyone is rooting for grey hair, so I wanted to get other perspectives about it

Jingi and Myeong-IL seem to have more playful banter back and forth that's more reminiscent of a couple. Whereas Hyeongjae gives off more secret admirer or nice guy vibes because he and Myeong-IL started off on friendlier terms. I understand why someone would root for Jingi because he and the MC give enemies to lover. I also see why someone would root for Hyeongjae and MC because they give off friends to lover.

yo fr the stalker vibes are very intense, it seems like he will go apeshit out of nowhere. Like last chap with him hallucinating myeong il in everyone around him.

I see where it could be the friendship development but it feels very weak, like Hyeongjae feels almost like a puppy to myeong-il, not a person. And the comic is about morally gray characters in prison, so it's SO weird to watch that dynamic, it feels like that's something that would work on a middle school crush storyline, not in this. It would be cute had it not been put on a character that feels obsessive and stalker-like despite the timid """cute""" outside. I guess the fact that Jingi is openly unhinged and MC is not fooled by it makes it seem much more probable to develop a friendship or romance.

True. And I guess MC might seem a little more "comfortable" around Jingi compared to Heongjae because he already sees Jingi as a terrible person and the mastermind behind all their terrible actions. MC views Heongjae as more of a victim or by-stander to Jingi's actions and doesn't realize that Heongjae is an active participant. We see evidence of this in Chapter 14 where the MC goes on a drunken rant and says "He [Heongjae] doesn't even hurt people like you do. Jingj you're nuts", which we as the readers known isn't true because in chapter 7 we see that Heonjae lied to the MC to gain his trust and we see in later chapters that he is violent. I guess others might like Heongjae more because they might like his cute, shy, and cuck persona because he seems less violent compared to Jingi. Some people might find Jingi more appealing being almost all Jingi's cards are laid out on the table and he shows the MC his crazy side whereas Heongjae is trying to hide his which might be unsettling.
