This story is reflecting on stuff which is pretty interesting and then BAM nonce-megee over here pops out of nowhere.
I’m hoping he, nonce man, is going to be used as a narrative device for the protagonist to jump off from (like he realises that relationship was unhealthy/predatory) rather than him being the consistent “mature love interest” that our protagonist learns from - especially with the not even implied, just straight up incestual undertones… since this manga is showing nuance I’m hoping that’s the case.
Although, they were showing nuance but then actually showed the sex scene between those two. I am conflicted, I think this story has potential to explore a good topic but it’s treading a fine line. But it’s only chapter 1 so here’s to hoping ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
