I honestly felt the same at the start but I think the last few chaps of the second season just showed that that's not the case(like how the one who replied said)....i feel it's equal but the way they both shower love for each other was different.....for touma it was like I love you so much that I don't mind getting into anything dangerous to be by your side.....on the other hand for kengou it's more like I love you so much so I don't want you to be in danger and for that I will distance myself from you because it's dangerous for you to be by my side.....from a general POV it's like touma is pushing while kengou is pulling but when you think about it the reason both are doing it is because both are so in love with each other....that's what I got from them....
The entire second volume addresses this. Touma’s love seems overwhelming and immeasurable in comparison to Kuroi, Touma himself questions whether Kuroi simply got tired of resisting. But they simply have different ways of expressing their feelings. Kuroi spent his entire life keeping those important to him at a distance and clearly finds it difficult to vocalize his love for Touma in the same way Touma does for him.
I feel like their relationship is not equal. Either that or they're not communicating enough. Something about this makes me anxious. It's good story but it reminds of a relationship where one person is more invested in feelings than the other. I kind of feel sorry for the guy. I can see why he's so insecure
